Piano Lessons
Many teachers recommend beginning piano lessons when children are able to read, which is usually at age 6 or 7. Some exceptional young children, aged 3 and up, take half-hour lessons with success, obtaining a good foundation in music theory (reading notes, etc.).
Piano Lesson Details
- Private lessons offered for beginning students, ages 5 and up
- Become familiar with the keyboard's geography
- Learn rhythmic notation, reading notes on a grand staff
- Regular practice at home prepares them for the discipline of school
- 30 minute lessons, once weekly 16-week semester
- Semester: 1/22/07-5/25/07 (no lessons 2/19-2/23 & 3/19-4/27)
- Lesson are taught in Mill Valley by appointment only.
